Poland’s economy slowed in the first quarter as an unusually long winter freeze curbed activity in the construction sector, with fading momentum likely to increase uncertainty over central bank policy.
Gross domestic product expanded 3.4% in the January-March period from a year ago, down from a revised 4.1% in the previous three months, according to preliminary stats office data. The figure missed a 3.7% median forecast in a Bloomberg survey of 17 economists.
