1. DMCA Policy
HashtagPLUS respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (“DMCA”), we will respond to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement that comply with the DMCA.
HashtagPLUS is a link-sharing platform. Users submit URLs to third-party content hosted on external websites. We do not host the underlying articles or media — we host the link, caption, and hashtags. Takedown requests should be directed to the host of the original content where possible.
2. Filing a Takedown Request
To file a DMCA takedown request, send a written notice to dmca@hashtagplus.com with all of the following:
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- Identification of the material on HashtagPLUS that you claim is infringing, with enough detail for us to locate it (e.g., the URL of the post on hashtagplus.com).
- Your contact information: name, address, telephone number, and email address.
- A statement that you have a good-faith belief that use of the material is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
- A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.
- Your physical or electronic signature.
3. Counter-Notification
If content you posted was removed in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was in error, you may submit a counter-notification to dmca@hashtagplus.com. Your counter-notification must include:
- Identification of the removed material and its location before removal.
- A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, address, and telephone number.
- A statement consenting to the jurisdiction of the federal district court for your address (or the Northern District of California if outside the U.S.).
- Your physical or electronic signature.
4. Repeat Infringers
HashtagPLUS will terminate the accounts of users who are determined to be repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
