Himachal Pradesh High Court quashed the FIR lodged against the Army personnel under IPC Section 376 after the survivor said she wanted to move on with life and avoid further trauma.

The investigation revealed a sophisticated operation where promoters used “cool calculation and deliberate design” to embezzle public funds, the Himachal Pradesh High Court noted.

The Himachal Pradesh Recruitment and Conditions of Service of Government Employees Act, 2024 was notified in 2025.

Since the parties have been litigating for over a decade, the Himachal Pradesh High Court directed the executing court to take the proceedings to their logical end expeditiously.
