Heavy Snorers in Hostels To all the heavy snorers who keep booking shared dorms in hostels, do you ever feel any guilt knowing you're ruining everyone else's sleep? Or is it just not even on your radar because "hey, it's a dorm, people know what they're signing up for"? I'm asking this genuinely because I want to understand what's going through your head. A few nights ago I was in a hostel and this one guy was snoring so insanely loud it sounded like a damn vacuum cleaner running all night. I had to check out two nights early because I couldn't take it anymore because even ear plugs would not drown out his snores. Turned out two other guys in the common area were doing the same thing for the exact same reason. I even asked to switch rooms, but there were no other beds available. And I'm not talking about normal, occasional light snoring. I'm talking about the full-on, window-rattling, clearly-has-sleep-apnea level stuff that makes it impossible for anyone else in the room to sleep.…
