Hypothetical for the con law scholars: Suppose a Dem trifecta drew all of the country's congressional districts to be partisan gerrymanders, granting them permanent control of the House. Would the current conservative Supreme Court strike it down, and if so, under what basis?

Pretend they are principled and their ruling will be consistent with opinions they voted for. E.g. Callais, Rucho, Arizona v. IRC.

Personally, I don't think they have a principled basis for stopping this. Clearly Congress has the power to draw districts, and clearly the guarantee of a Republican form of government doesn't forbid partisan gerrymanders.
