In 2013, famed TV journalist Anderson Cooper traveled to Nazaré , Portugal for a segment on 60 Minutes . He met up with big-wave surfer and Nazaré pioneer, Garrett McNamara, for an up-close-and-personal jet ski tour of the world’s biggest wave . Everything went according to plan – so it seemed. Now, Cooper is revealing that during the shoot, he was actually injured. But it wasn’t from the waves, or from McNamara’s wildcat driving style. Instead, it was something different.
