Separately, in Extended Data Fig. 6a, the image shown in the lower-left Rett mCherry panel mistakenly presented an image from Rett-hM3Dq Cortex. Also, three out of four Cortex panels in Extended Data Fig. 7 were mislabeled as “GFP” when they should have been labeled “cFos”. The figures are now amended in the HTML and PDF versions of the article.
