CMOs face budget constraints amid AI investment push

More than half of chief marketing officers are concerned about insufficient budgets to achieve their 2026 marketing strategies, according to Gartner. Despite being tasked with driving growth and completing transformational projects, marketing budgets have remained nearly flat, rising from 7.7% to 7.8% of company revenue since last year. While 70% of CMOs aim to lead in AI, many say internal processes are not mature enough for effective AI implementation.
