The owner of this particular Shimaya Ramen is a Japanese guy (Peru has a decently-sized Japanese minority; including a woman named Keiko Fujimori, who is currently running to be the president of Peru! She'a awesome). π―π΅π΅πͺ So, the ramen tasted really authentic. π I got Chashuβ£οΈ l've been to Japan twice and cook Japanese food all the time. My mans is Peruvian, so I also eat Peruvian food often. The maki was uniquely a Japanese-Peruvian fusion; the sauce is Peruvian & the protein is chicken. We also got tartare ahi tuna- not pictured; it came out on little crackers w lime slices. The text says "Let's eat at Shimaya Ramen in Punta Mar!" Punta Mar is a shopping center near the beach on the outskirts of Lima. π΅πͺποΈ submitted by /u/domotastic [link] [comments]
