It’s been so long since news first broke that Matt Reeves was returning to Gotham City for The Batman Part II, the last few days have been oddly surreal. After years of only the teeniest, tiniest updates , Reeves has been actively using his social media to break news and tease fans, especially as production draws nearer. That all started with a snowy Batmobile photo,  continued with a nearly six-hour marathon of returning cast reveals , and on Thursday, the news kept coming. Reeves began his day by putting up a post on X officially confirming news that broke back in December : Scarlett Johansson is joining The Batman Part II.
