The Star A poignant comedy centred around three World War 1 veterans living in a French rest-home,  Heroes , will be staged at Mosgiel’s Fire Station Theatre from next week. Led by the experienced duo of director Rosemary Manjunath and production manager Lorraine Johnston,  Heroes  will run from May 8-17. Written by Gerald Sibleyras and translated by Tom Stoppard,  Heroes  follows the lives of three veterans. The trio spend their monotony-filled days grumbling about the nuns that care for them, engaging in verbal battles and reflecting. It’s 1959 and Gustave, Henri and Philippe are planning a “great escape” from their habit-wearing captors and they are heading for the hills. Working alongside the experienced production team to bring Gustave, Henri and Philippe to life are Dunedin actors Steve Parker, Craig Storey and Campbell Thompson. Heroes  will be staged from May 8-17 at 7.30pm on weekdays, with Sunday matinees at 2.30pm, at the Fire Station Theatre, 3 Cargill St, Mosgiel.…
