A French seaside resort is set to host a week of discounted activities to tempt British tourists back to its shores. Le Touquet-Paris-Plage, a coastal commune on the northern coast of France , aims to show visitors the French “art de vivre” this bank holiday . From 25 to 31 May, the resort will stage a series of events “specially designed to delight our British guests who want to experience the Le Touquet way of life”. According to the town, free or affordable activities will be delivered in English just a few miles from the UK coast. Le Touquet has long been considered the “most British of French resorts”, added the seaside town. In its heyday, it attracted notable British names , including PG Wodehouse and Winston Churchill. Following Brexit, the area became less popular with British tourists, who once accounted for 20 per cent of its visitors, reported The Times .
