Disney has acquired the Banana Bowl. Starting this fall, Disney+ will be the U.S. home of the Banana Ball League’s season championship, the company announced during its upfront presentation on Tuesday. The Banana Bowl will stream in October. Disney promises the Banana Bowl will include one of the biggest performances the league has ever seen, bringing together all six Banana Ball league teams, along with its signature on-field showmanship from first pitch to final out. This seems to be part of a broader partnership with the Savannah Bananas , the Georgia-based exhibition baseball team. Also on Tuesday, ABC announced that second baseman Jackson Olson will compete on Season 35 of Dancing with the Stars. Disney has already hosted a Savannah Bananas Day at Disneyland Resort in Southern California, and Banana Ball is also heading to Florida’s Walt Disney World at the end of May for a game at ESPN ‘s Wide World of Sports Complex featuring the Party Animals against the Loco Beach Coconuts.…
