The NASA Artemis program is all about returning humans to the lunar surface by 2028 and making a permanent base on the Moon in the 2030s. The uncrewed Artemis I mission was the first step in November 2022. And now the Artemis II mission (launched on 1st April 2026) has four astronauts (Reid Wiseman, Christina Koch, Victor Glover from NASA, and Jeremy Hansen from the Canadian Space Agency) on track to fly around the Moon. The mission crew, notably Reid Wiseman, has captured some amazing shots of our Earth, the Moon, and space. These pictures look terrific as iPhone, iPad, Mac, and other device wallpapers. Here’s how to download them in their original 4K or 8K quality. Most of the pictures you see here were taken with Nikon D5 or Nikon Z 9. NASA has published these photos on its official website ( Journey to the Moon ) as well as its Flickr account ( NASA Johnson ).
