The NASA Artemis program is all about returning humans to the lunar surface by 2028 and making a permanent base on the Moon in the 2030s. The uncrewed Artemis I mission was the first step in November 2022. And now the Artemis II mission (launched on 1st April 2026) has four astronauts (Reid Wiseman, Christina Koch, Victor Glover from NASA, and Jeremy Hansen from the Canadian Space Agency) on track to fly around the Moon.
