An eerie doomsday music video depicting California as a dystopian state of corruption and failed political policies has gone viral on social media. The video, posted by Miguel Fornia on X and shared by Elon Musk, has already garnered over 37 million views. To the cover of “California Dreamin’” by The Mommas & The Papas, the parody stars Governor Gavin Newsom and Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass , with gang members setting cars on fire. In the music video shared to X, Mayor Karen Bass is depicted as a laughing clown. “Corruption at the top, arrogance on display,” the video’s lyrics sing, criticizing Newsom’s response to the Palisade’s Fire. It also features disgraced Congressman and former gubernatorial candidate Eric Swalwell , as well as Congresswoman Maxine Waters and Sen.
