My awesome daughter returned home last night from college scouting in south Florida. She stopped by the local library and they were giving away alot of their old dvds that hadn't been check out in awhile. She came home with three large bags full ❤️ I haven't seen any of his work but by my brief research on the director these films along with The Passion of Joan Of Arc (which I own) and Vampyr are his 5 most beloved titles. I enjoy watching director's growth through their filmographies, so I'll likely start with the earliest film. What are your thoughts on these films, his filmography as a whole, and on his distinctive style? My next purchases I hope to make are Jean De Florette/ Manon of the Spring 4kbluray set. I finished those films last night and it is by far my favorite tragedy I can think of. I sense the second viewing will be even more heartbreaking. Can't say enough great things about that film.
