Seamless gutter - snipped drip edge?

Just had seamless gutters installed.

While I'm not happy with them working from the roof of a single story to measure and work, concerns about shingle damage and fall risk. Roof is about 7-8 years now. Only one area has bushes that would require scaffolding/two ladders.

My concern after getting a freestanding ladder to check the work is the trimmed drip edge at corners and where the gutter extends slightly past an outside corner. Image 2 is what made me check what they did to the rest of the drip edge.

For the drip edge corners that got snipped: should I bend some extra drip edge with overlap, with a dab of construction adhesive or chaulk? I don't want to try and bend shingles to nail anything at a corner.

Do the mounting screws not present a risk of rot from water penetrarion directly into the fascia? Should they get chaulked? I dont see a plastic washer/gasket.

Does the cap shingle the guy was kneeling on look just 7-8 years old or?
