Greta Gerwig ‘s “ Narnia ” movie will be getting a wide theatrical release in early 2027. Previously slated for a Thanksgiving 2026 release, the film is now set to open in theaters on Feb. 12, 2027, and on Netflix on April 2, 2027. Sneak previews of “Narnia: The Magician’s Nephew” will begin on Imax screens on Feb. 10. The film adaptation of C.S Lewis’ book stars Carey Mulligan, Daniel Craig, Meryl Streep, Emma Mackey and more. Gerwig is writing and directing the fantasy adventure, which follows “The Magician’s Nephew” — the sixth novel in the series. The story serves as a prequel to “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” and centers on the creation of Narnia by Aslan the lion. Two children, Digory and Polly, are the first to discover the “Wood between the Worlds” after an uncle gives the two friends a magical ring. Mackey is playing Jadis, also known as the White Witch, the antagonist of the series. The film’s young leads have yet to be cast.…
