You may have seen YouTube comparisons of the best smart glasses, most of which are Chinese devices. Some of them try to look like regular glasses (a trend started by Meta's Ray-Ban smart glasses), while others try to stand out with original or outright ridiculous designs. Some of the issues that I found in the conversation about smart glasses are: How do I feel using them? How do other people perceive me? Do I look cool? Do these smart glasses take high-resolution pictures? Does the battery last for an entire day? All of these questions are posed from the perspective of a cool, exciting gadget. People who love new shiny gadgets will for sure be interested in getting a pair of smart glasses. But the real question is: what are the smart glasses for?…
