Jerry Walker August 26, 1946 - April 12, 2026 Jerry Lee Walker, 79, passed away on April 12, 2026, at his home in Gillette, WY, surrounded by his family, following a lengthy battle with PSP. Jerry was born on August 26, 1946, in Spearfish, SD to Austin and Edith (Fletcher) Walker. Jerry was raised on the family ranch near Alzada, MT, where he attended country school as a child and graduated from Belle Fourche High School in 1964. After graduation, he served in the U.S. Army in Germany until 1967. Following his time in the service, he moved to Denver, CO, where he married Cheryl Steinbach on April 6, 1968. Once married, they relocated to Anchorage, AK, where Jerry worked on the North Slope. Their first daughter, Tracy, was born there in 1968. After two years in Alaska, they moved back to Belle Fourche, SD, where their second daughter, Tami, was born in 1970.…
