Would you watch an animated version of Game of Thrones, something similar in style to Arcane. I am not talking a 1 to 1 adaption. Add in lots of characters that were cut for the first run. Really the whole point would be to give a team of people 4-5 years to come up with something better than what D and D came up with on the spot to cover the books not being finished, since it is unlikely Martin will do it.

I don't think Seasons 7 and 8 was as bad as most people do, but it was still disappointing and rushed more than anything. An animated show could easily run a dozen seasons since there is no need to worry about the actors not wanting to dedicate half their professional careers to this. The budget would initially need to be high to get the quality that Game of Thrones warrants. But costs should go down with later seasons due to being able to reuse many of the assets.
