This Château in France Provided a Fairy-Tale Ending for a Los Angeles Family

Most fairy tales start with a damsel in distress, but this one began with a late-night endless scroll during peak COVID . Michael Lewis, an investor in media and technology, was living in Malibu with his wife, Dana Lord Lewis, and their young family when the mood struck for something wildly divergent from their daily life. “We were just looking for something different,” he says. Situated on a 400-foot hill, the château overlooks the nearby village and the greater Dordogne region of France. The entry’s diamond tiled floors were sourced from Soho Marble and nod to the château’s origins. Quattrone and Lim introduced enfilade’s throughout the house to bring air and light in. The mirror is from RW Guild and underneath sits a vintage bench upholstered in Romo Fabric’s Pluma Blush. The marble-top table is a classic French bistro table. He wanted a vacation home that would bring out something new in his family, but didn’t know exactly what that would look like.…
