A radio system fault caused widespread disruption to train services across southern England.
The issue, which affected communication between train drivers and signallers, was reported at 8.53am.
National Rail Enquiries confirmed the fault was resolved by 10.49am.
Despite the fix, major disruption, including delays of up to 90 minutes and cancellations, is expected to continue until the end of the day.
Operators affected include CrossCountry, Gatwick Express, Great Western Railway, Southern, South Western Railway, and Thameslink.
