Published 8:13 am Thursday, May 28, 2026 Two people from Bend were arrested for their roles in a drug trafficking organization, according to the U.S. Attorney’s office. Nathalie Buchanan, 28, and Charles Johnson, 37, were charged April 29 with conspiracy to distribute and possess with intent to distribute controlled substances, distribution of methamphetamine and cocaine and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine. Four others from Oregon were also arrested and charged. In July 2025, the Clackamas County Interagency Task Force, Oregon State Police and the Drug Enforcement Administration began investigating a methamphetamine and cocaine supplier in Forest Grove, according to court documents. Johnson and Buchanan were drug trafficking partners who regularly purchased large amounts of methamphetamine in the Portland and Salem area to sell in the Bend area.
