EXCLUSIVE : Underworld star Kate Beckinsale has been set to lead Twilight of the Dead , the long gestating “final chapter” of George A. Romero’s classic zombie saga. The horror project, which has buy-in from the Romero estate, has recently undergone a facelift with new cast, director and financiers. Beckinsale takes over from Milla Jovovich. Additional casting is in process. The film will be “set on a decimated earth where the last vestiges of humanity are trapped between warring factions and an evolving undead threat”. The Paz Brothers, Doron and Yoav Paz, whose movies include The Golem and Plan A , have been tapped to direct the movie, taking over from Brad Anderson. Stunts vet Ho Sung Pak ( Bullet Train ) is aboard to direct stunt and action sequences.
