Hello all, I am a shipboard engineer sailing internationalLt and we have a small refrigerator that went out. A replacement was ordered for our next/upcoming port call in Australia from a local vendor to save shipping. All I was told is it would be 220v so I ran a cable and set it up waiting on an Australian receptacle to install.

However, it has been brought to my attention that they also run their appliances at 50 Hz and we are set up for standard American 60 Hz.

Are we going To be okay with this or do we need to cancel this order and save the headache? Not asking for wiring advice just trying to find out if this will work or burn up quickly
