We are hosting some family friends for dinner and I am looking for menu advice. Here’s the situation: my husband and I are vegetarian and I am a pretty proficient home cook. Our friends are not vegetarian, and have two kids under 10 who can be picky (don’t like salad, for example) and the husband is currently undergoing chemo for colon cancer. His appetite is hit or miss and he can’t have acidic foods like tomatoes or anything spicy. I’d love to have a nice menu that says we tried but meets their needs too. Any ideas?
