May 20, 2026 SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS—Alley Cat Allies, the leader of the global movement to protect cats and kittens, is offering a reward of up to $10,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case of cats taped into two plastic bins and left to die in mid-February of 2026. The sealed bins were discovered on the side of the road near an auto parts store, off of Somerset Road and West Gerald Avenue in San Antonio. Many of the cats were not alive by the time Good Samaritans found them. Alley Cat Allies and San Antonio Animal Care Services (ACS) are urging anyone with information to call 311 and ask to speak with an ACS Cruelty Investigator. Investigators believe the cats may have been dumped in the sealed bins during the night hours. Though the investigation has been active, new information is critical to identify, arrest, and prosecute a suspect. Good Samaritans were able to unseal one bin in time to rescue the cats and rush them to veterinary care.…
