Published 7:43 am Wednesday, April 29, 2026 When El Ten Eleven played Bend’s Volcanic Theatre Pub in late 2021, it was the band’s first show in nearly two years, thanks to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Los Angeles band said back then that it had spent its unexpected time off making new music. “We’ve recorded two more records and they’re not even out yet,” multi-instrumentalist Kristian Dunn told The Bulletin. “When we couldn’t tour, we just kept going and kept making records, because that’s what we do.” Is that music out by now? It’s entirely possible. Since that interview, El Ten Eleven has released three more albums, including a brand new one, “Nowhere Faster,” on April 10. It’s their 11th full-length overall, and it’s packed to the gills with the band’s signature style: Groovy, complex instrumental prog and math rock made by just two dudes — Dunn and percussionist Tim Fogarty — with the help of some looping technology.
