Production has officially begun on the second season of Mara Brock Akil ’s Forever at Netflix . The show has also added three new faces — one series regular and two recurring — to its cast. Malaika Guttoh  has joined the cast as a series regular with Avery Wills Jr. (Swagger, Shooting Stars)  and Tre McBride ( Fight for ‘84 ) joining as recurring guests. Guttoh will play Ameena. Wills Jr. will play Jaden, and Tre McBride will play Elijah. Season 2’s logline teases a time jump for Keisha Clark ( Lovie Simone ) and Justin Edwards (Michael Cooper Jr.) as the next installment will pick up four years later, post-pandemic, with the pair doing well and in new relationships. They also have real jobs, and they go about their separate lives as adults until they run into each other in the summer of 2023.…
