Published 11:20 am Thursday, May 28, 2026 The college baseball season is slowly coming to an end and players are beginning to make their way to Bend for a fresh new season at Vince Genna Stadium. The Bend Elks 2026 season begins with a home series starting Friday night. “We have had a couple of practices, we know a couple of the guys, a couple more guys are flying in one day before,” said Bend’s third-year coach Allen Cox. “But we are really excited. We know how much the town supports us and we are looking forward to that.” The Bend Elks will start their summer-long West Coast League wood-bat season with a three-game series against the Springfield Drifters. Friday is the season opener at Vince Genna Stadium, which received a new set of stadium lights during the offseason, with the first pitch slated for 6:35 p.m. Between now and the first week of August, the Elks have 57 games scheduled with 30 of them set for Bend.…
