So my mother, got enrolled into census duty. Basically, we were out of station and had given all the station leaves and everything, but somehow the IDs were made and she was given the duty. So we thought, okay, let’s just go. We could have tried to get it cancelled, do some jugaad, take favors from people and all that, but we decided not to. We thought, let’s do this census thing instead. My mother is 58, so I thought I’ll help her. I am transitioning between jobs, so I had around two weeks free and thought I’ll help her out. But but … People are just plainly rude. Like super rude, for no apparent reason. Especially women between 20 to 30 and unmarried. I don’t know why. They are rude for absolutely no reason. They refuse to answer things, talk rudely, and act weirdly defensive. sometimes they think i am hitting on them Like didi, I asked for your father’s number, not yours. Why would you think I’m hitting on you? Why do you think I said something with some hidden intention? I genuinely don’t understand it.…
