We know that American is greatly lagging Delta and United when it comes to financial performance, and executives at the airline finally realize that the airline needs to become more premium in order to succeed. So American has made an impressive number of positive changes in recent times, which the airline should be commended for. What I find sad is the extent to which the airline fails at the basics, and seemingly doesn’t have a plan for addressing that.
