Two residents were displaced and three pets were found dead following a house fire in northeast Colorado Springs on Sunday, according to the fire department.
The blaze took place at 9280 Stanley Park Drive in the Wolf Ranch neighborhood, east of Powers Boulevard, officials said. The Colorado Springs Fire Department posted about the fire on X at about 1:15 p.m.
Firefighters could see flames coming from the home when they arrived, according to a social media post from CSFD. Crews quickly knocked down the blaze and the residents were taken to a hospital for evaluation.
“Unfortunately during the initial search and fire attack three pets were found deceased,” a department spokesperson posted on X.
The cause of the fire has not yet been released.
