Hi. I am based in Fayetteville, AR, and am interested in starting to hunt waterfowl and other game in general. My only experience has been hunting once at the Hasty Drake duck club in Stuttgart, AR. I know that is a pretty special experience, and the next steps won't be like that lol. I need advice on everything.

I have no firearms (currently looking into a Stoeger M3000 or a Tristar Matrix), no waders (Cabelas should be fine, no?), and no other equipment. I have 2 calls, and that's it so far.

What really confuses me is how to actually get on the water. Duck clubs are way out of the question, and fighting for a spot on public land alone is daunting. Is there any way to get connected with other, more experienced hunters? I do not even know where to start on this front, but I want to take advantage of the amazing waterfowl in the Mississippi flyway.

Asking all of these questions way before the season in an attempt to budget and make a plan.

Thanks for any advice!
