Long story short: I ended up getting the job I interviewed for in the city I desire and expected relocation to come with the role (we spoke about it prior to) but then HR revealed to me that they don’t do relocation for the role I was hired on for. Now they are expecting me to move 1,000 miles across country with no assistance.
A little about me I have 5+ years experience in the industry (defense) but pivoting to a new industry (construction) as an engineer.
Any advice? Should I hold out for another offer that offers relocation. I do love the company culture and vibes I got from the team but I do feel a bit undervalued.
