CMV: It should be a given to advocate for things that benefit yourself/ your certain demographic. The one demographic that fails to do this in comparison is men, and we should work to improve that aspect of ourselves. To start off I’m not saying people should neglect others when it comes to seeing progression or equality whatsoever. Still support things you believe in which hopefully is morally correct, like equality for all, women’s rights like abortion, etc. I just find that men feel a social stigma especially places like reddit to neglect things that benefit them as well, and support causes that actively harm them. Take the phrase “all men should be feminists” for example, many feminists I’ve met seem to actively support things that solemnly benefit women, and blame the patriarchy as a scapegoat when men speaking on subjects that harm men with little sympathy. You can support things like abortion yourself, but why not fight more for things like equality in custody battles.…
