I’m currently working as a teacher and make 84k a year. I have a masters in ed and my student loans will be paid off this summer!! I finally feel like I’m not drowning and able to pay all my bills. The only thing is that after retirement, healthcare, and rising living costs, I don’t really have a ton of spending money. I drive a 17 year old car. I wish I had a skill that could act as a lever to help me earn cash on the side with the possibility of tip and earning cash on the side. Currently, I tutor 5-10 hours a week and the going rate with my education is about 40-50/ hour, but after teaching all day I long for a change of pace. Everyone talks about a trade, but I’d want to gain skills without having to quit my job. I initially thought of Massage therapy, (one-year), pressure washing, lawn care, car detailing, web design, djing, bounce castle rental? Any suggestions? Are there any paths I might not be seeing? submitted by /u/ohmycash [link] [comments]
