There’s never been a dud in the long history of the Evil Dead franchise . Sam Raimi’s original trilogy starring Bruce Campbell started off as a low-budget gamble and became the gold standard for splattery horror comedy. Fede Álvarez’s 2013 take is still one of the better horror reboots. Ash vs Evil Dead was a brilliantly fun TV translation of the show. And then, when team Evil Dead decided standalone films would be the future of the cult-beloved series, we got the excellent Evil Dead Rise in 2023, directed by Lee Cronin (of Lee Cronin’s The Mummy fame). The winning streak looks to continue with Sébastien Vaniček’s Evil Dead Burn , which just shared its first, very sick, very on-brand trailer.
