Two Wu administration officials battled with frustrated city councilors and pedestrian and bicycling advocates yesterday at a politely contentious hearing over the state of road safety projects across the city - and the state of state and federal funding for them. City Councilor Ben Weber (Jamaica Plain, West Roxbury) said it's been a year since City Hall paused road-safety projects for a "30-day review" that resulted in a declaration that everything from speed humps to bike lanes needed a better "community process" - and yet in that year there's been "no process and no improvements."
