I am a 5'10ish 23 year old male, and I currently weigh about 144 lbs. I am trying to cut to about 135 lbs, but I am concerned about losing muscle mass. I am eating a diet of 1500 calories a day, without about 130g of protein a day.
I am mildly concerned that I will lose muscle mass. I don't intend to hold this diet for long (maybe a couple months). I just want to cut to around 13% body fat and then call it there.
Is 1500 for this time period while maintaining protein going to have a drastic effect upon my body?
