Steven Drozd has opened up about being fired from Flaming Lips , saying that frontman Wayne Coyne “just stopped communicating with” him after he “went back to treatment”. At the time, none of the members publicly addressed the line-up change, however, in December Drozd accidentally confirmed his departure on Threads , writing: “They’re done with me – but we’re not talking about it. Yes I’m moving on.” He soon deleted the post and said that it was a “blundering mistake” to upload it, as he thought it was going to be sent as a private message.
