For some context, I moved to the UK from Hungary with my parents when I was still a child. We always speak Hungarian at home but I've come to be a native speaker of English, while my parents have enough knowledge of the language to get by day-to-day. Unfortunately, my mother specifically doesn't feel socially supported because of this language barrier, especially knowing that she has a social circle back in Hungary. We visit Hungary for family and friends couple times a year, but it has become a burden on my parents to travel so much etc. There's been conversation about the future and who will live where etc. because I'm planning to move to the other side of the UK after my studies and move in with my partner who is only English, and struggles with language anyway.…
