One of my favorite parts of life as a travel journalist is coming up with what to pack for each trip (it’s why I started a newsletter dedicated to packing lists). My excitement, however, was diminished when I realized that Indian airline weight restrictions allow only a 15-pound carry-on and a 7-pound personal item.
