A feature film on the life of Amir Hussain Lone, the armless cricketer who captains the Jammu and Kashmir para cricket team, was unveiled on the sidelines of the Cannes Film Festival . The film will be directed by Nishil Sheth, an Indian writer-director whose debut feature “Bhasmasur” premiered on the international festival circuit and won awards across competition for its filmmaking, its treatment of childhood, and its formal distinctiveness. Sheth said: “Amir Hussain Lone’s story is not just about cricket or disability; it is about the indomitable human spirit. What moved me most was his refusal to be defined by limitations.
