Published 12:27 pm Wednesday, April 29, 2026 A fire that began in a chicken coop and spread to nearby trees in Sisters was quickly put out by the Sisters-Camp Sherman Rural Fire District. (Sisters-Camp Sherman Rural Fire District (submitted photo)) A structure fire that quickly spread to surrounding trees at a residence on Bitterbrush Lane in Sisters Tuesday night was quickly contained and did not injure anyone. Firefighters from the Sisters-Camp Sherman Fire District put out the fire that began in a chicken coop. It was later found to have started because a heat lamp was placed too close to combustibles. A homeowner called 911. Firefighters from Cloverdale Fire District and the Black Butte Ranch Fire District also responded.
