Ally vs Chime for Savings... I already have an account with both Ally and Chime. With Chime, I have their checking account and savings. With Ally I have their checking, Savings and Money Market savings account. Chime's interest rate on their savings is 3.75% whereas Ally's is 3.10%. I have been with Ally the longest. I only recently switched to Chime within the past year from a local bank account that I closed out. The primary reason I switched to Chime is because of the early direct deposit, which my local bank didn't offer. A common complaint that I have heard about Chime is that they aren't a bank but rather a FinTech. I know with my Chime account, it is through Stride Bank. Would it be worth it to switch my savings over to Chime for the higher interest on savings? As far as making deposits to either account, I like the fact that I can make deposits locally instead of transferring through ACH. Currently, my savings at Ally is a measly $720.00.…
