Mariska Hargitay Extends Run In Broadway’s ‘Every Brilliant Thing’

Mariska Hargitay has extended her starring run in Broadway ‘s Every Brilliant Thing by a week, and will now play in the essentially-solo show at the Hudson Theatre from Tuesday, May 26, through Sunday, July 5. Producers Second Half Productions, Seaview, and Gavin Kalin Productions announced the extension today. As previously announced, the play’s current star, the Tony-nominated Daniel Radcliffe, will play his final performance on Sunday, May 24. Hargitay, best known for her long-running role of Captain Olivia Benson on NBC’s Law & Order: SVU, will star as the unnamed narrator who recounts a life marked by depression and domestic challenges and who has compiled a lifelong list of “every brilliant thing” that makes life worth living. At first the list is meant as a gift for the narrator’s troubled mother but eventually becomes a lifeline for the narrator as well.…
