Overall, this organization is run pretty well. My boss, who is the founder and CEO, is smart and a pretty good manager. He has his blind spots, but overall, things are good here. We do good work for a good cause. My problem is with a new hire he brought in. Last month, he announced that he had hired a new chief of staff and that she would be starting in a week! This was a totally new role and it was never posted. None of us knew anything about it before the announcement. I asked to see the job description, and he didn’t have one. I thought that was strange, but I decided to just see how things would go.…
