Founded by Lori Bravo in Phoenix, Arizona with Joel Whitfield on drums and Phil Hampson on Guitars, not only were Nuclear Death one of the first American extreme metal bands in general but Lori herself is most likely the first woman in an extreme metal band, let alone found and do vocals for one.
